The client, who offers a variety of courses focused on bass guitar transcriptions, exercises, and lessons, approached us to revamp their existing website. Their goals were to enhance the functionality, user experience, and overall performance of their WordPress site. Specifically, they wanted to add a custom JavaScript metronome app, a timer app with a reporting module for tracking practice time, and ensure seamless integration with LearnDash and WooCommerce for course purchases. Additionally, they sought improvements in the user registration and login processes, mobile responsiveness, SEO optimization, and the ability to easily update the WordPress theme and plugins through a child theme implementation.
Solution
To meet the client’s requirements, we developed a child theme and a custom WordPress plugin, incorporating unique functionalities tailored to their needs. We seamlessly integrated WooCommerce with LearnDash to facilitate smooth course purchases and enhanced the user registration process for efficient onboarding, including social login functionality. To improve the user interface, we implemented accordions for course and lesson categories. The website was optimized for search engines and made fully mobile responsive. Additionally, we added a custom JavaScript metronome app, a timer tool, and a reporting module for tracking and analyzing practice time. This comprehensive solution not only enhanced the website’s performance but also significantly improved the user experience.
